Who we are

AKA Word is provided by AKA Technologies AS, Norwegian organisation number 938 208 778. Questions about privacy can be sent to personvern@aka-technologies.no.

Game data

Game progress, settings, hint balance, profile name and statistics are stored locally on your device. AKA Word has no user account, login or cloud synchronisation.

Advertising

The free version uses Google AdMob to show advertisements at natural breaks, never during active gameplay. You may also voluntarily choose a rewarded advertisement to receive one hint. Purchasing Ad-free removes ordinary and forced advertisements; voluntary rewarded hint advertisements remain available only when you actively choose them. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, diagnostic information, ad interactions and approximate location derived from the IP address to deliver, secure and measure advertising.

Purchases

The optional one-time Ad-free purchase is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. AKA Technologies receives purchase status and transaction references needed to provide and restore the purchase, but does not receive your full payment-card details.

Consent and choices

Where required, Google's consent platform asks for your choices before advertising is requested. On iOS, AKA Word also uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before an advertising identifier can be used to measure advertising across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you decline, the IDFA is not sent and the app continues with non-personalized advertising. You can review available advertising privacy choices in the app and limit or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings.

Sharing

If you choose to share a game result, the app passes the result text to the sharing service you select on your device. AKA Word does not post it automatically.

Children

AKA Word is not directed to children. Advertising requests are limited to Google's G-rated ad inventory.

Third parties and security

Apple App Store, Google Play and Google AdMob process data needed for their stated functions under their own terms. Data sent over the network is protected in transit. Your rights and deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. Local game data can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Contact personvern@aka-technologies.no for privacy requests concerning data processed by AKA Technologies AS.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
